My Story

I am Sadhra, a bright and eager medical student from one of Kathmandu University's respected colleges. I set foot into Dhulikhel Hospital with a mix of excitement and nerves. Little did I know, this step would mark the beginning of an eye-opening journey that would redefine my understanding of medicine.

The moment I walked through the doors of Dhulikhel Hospital, I felt a sense of bustling energy, unlike anything I had experienced before. The hospital wasn't just a place of healing; it was a hub of learning, with every corner offering a new lesson waiting to be learned.

Navigating through the corridors and wards, I found myself immersed in a world where textbooks came to life. The theoretical concepts I had studied for years suddenly gained practical significance as I interacted with patients, diagnosed illnesses, and administered treatments under the guidance of experienced mentors.

What truly made Dhulikhel Hospital special to me wasn't just its state-of-the-art facilities or cutting-edge treatments; it was the people. The mentors and supervisors weren't just there to teach – they were there to nurture, to guide, and to inspire. Their unwavering support and genuine passion for teaching ignited, propelling me toward excellence in my medical journey.

In the wards, I encountered stories of resilience and strength, each patient a testament to the human spirit's ability to overcome adversity. It was here, amidst the highs and lows of patient care, that she discovered the true essence of empathy and compassion – qualities that are as crucial to healing as any medical treatment.

Beyond the clinical experiences, the diverse and vibrant community of healthcare professionals. Collaborating with nurses, doctors, and specialists from different backgrounds not only enriched her understanding of medicine but also taught me the importance of teamwork in providing holistic care to patients.

Looking back on my time at Dhulikhel Hospital, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the transformative experiences that shaped me into the physician I aspired to be. Every challenge I faced, and every triumph I celebrated, became a stepping stone toward her ultimate goal of making a positive impact in the lives of others through the practice of medicine.

As I walked out of Dhulikhel Hospital, I carried more than just medical knowledge – I carried a sense of purpose, a deep appreciation for the privilege of healing, and a newfound confidence in my abilities as a compassionate healer. With each step forward, I looked toward the future with optimism, knowing that her time at Dhulikhel Hospital had laid a solid foundation for my journey ahead.
