About Us

"Do It for Dhulikhel!" is a project designed by Lincoln School students to support the Charity Fund of Dhulikhel Hospital in Nepal.

We hope that the ready-to-teach resources on our website will inspire educators worldwide to teach their students about Nepal, and the challenges people in Nepal face to access quality healthcare.

This project spotlights the pioneering efforts of Dhulikhel Hospital, a community-based initiative dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare solutions for all. We firmly believe that community-based approaches offer the most effective solutions.

Universal access to health care, without discrimination, is a human right enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Every year Dhulikhel Hospital treats over one million patients in Nepal, many of whom cannot afford to pay for quality healthcare. We hope that educators worldwide will bring our project into their classrooms so that together we can support Dhulikhel Hospital to reach the unreachable.

Main Targets

The main framework our global goals class are derived off of the SDG’s (sustainable development goals). Our past two projects have been structured from the SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities) and 12 (responsible consumption and production). The foundations of creating a fundraiser for Dhulikhel Hospital is based on the SDG goal good health and well being.

Driven by a common goal of having a positive influence, we have had assistance from the hospital staff and administrators to develop a fundraising component that not only meets the hospital's immediate financial needs but also promotes community cohesion and support.

We have brainstormed and took inspiration from St. Judes to produce a creative fundraising initiatives that combine contemporary methods with conventional community participation, all while keeping creativity front and center: Math-A-Thon, Get-Active-A-Thon, Language Challenge, Engineering Challenge. Our objective are to not only generate money for the hospital but also to spread knowledge of the important services it offers and inspire a giving attitude in the locals.
